As summer approaches, there’s no better place to kick back, relax, and enjoy everything Glastonbury has to offer than Hops on the Hill Brewery. It’s one of my favorite spots in town — especially on a lazy Sunday afternoon when I’m looking to unwind. With its family-friendly atmosphere, amazing local beer, and beautiful outdoor space, Hops on the Hill has something for everyone. Here’s why it’s worth a visit this summer.

1. Family-Friendly Atmosphere

I’ve always appreciated how Hops on the Hill Brewery isn’t just a place for adults to enjoy craft beer. It’s a truly family-friendly spot, and that’s one of the reasons it’s such a favorite of mine. On summer weekends, I love bringing my kids along to enjoy the wide-open lawn while I grab a refreshing pint of their latest brew. The relaxed, welcoming vibe makes it a perfect place for families to spend quality time together. Kids can run around, play, and enjoy the outdoors while parents can relax and chat.

2. Great Beer, Always Local and Fresh

As someone who loves good craft beer, I can’t say enough about the beer at Hops on the Hill. The variety is fantastic, and they keep the selection rotating so there’s always something new to try. Whether it’s a crisp lager or a hoppy IPA, every pint is crafted on-site and served fresh. The best part is that it’s all local, which makes it feel even more connected to the Glastonbury community. Personally, I always look forward to trying their seasonal brews — it’s a little taste of summer in every glass.

3. Beautiful Outdoor Space to Unwind

The outdoor space at Hops on the Hill is one of the main reasons I love spending my Sundays there. There’s something about being able to enjoy a cold beer while soaking up the sunshine and taking in the views that just feels like the perfect way to end the weekend. The spacious patio, along with the surrounding green areas, creates the ideal setting to relax with friends, enjoy a meal, or simply unwind by yourself. It’s a true hidden gem in Glastonbury.

4. Dog-Friendly and Welcoming to All

For those of us who can’t imagine summer without our furry friends, Hops on the Hill is a dog-friendly brewery, which makes it even more of a go-to spot. Bringing your dog along for a relaxing afternoon is the best. It’s great to know that your pup is welcome to join the fun while you enjoy some downtime. The dog-friendly atmosphere adds to the laid-back vibe that makes it such a special place.

5. Live Music and Fun Events

If you’re looking for some entertainment while you enjoy your beer, Hops on the Hill has you covered with regular live music and fun events. I love heading over there when they have local bands performing. There’s nothing like sitting outside, sipping a cold brew, and enjoying great live music with friends. They host a variety of events, from trivia nights to special seasonal festivals, so there’s always something happening to make your visit a little more exciting.

6. Delicious Food Trucks

What better way to complement a great beer than with some delicious food? Hops on the Hill features local food trucks regularly, offering everything from savory tacos to gourmet grilled cheese. It’s a great way to try something new and pair it with one of their craft beers. I’ve had a few great meals at the food trucks, and it’s always fun to see what’s on offer. It’s the perfect combination of great beer and good eats.

7. A Great Spot for Socializing

Whether I’m catching up with friends or meeting new people, Hops on the Hill Brewery is the ideal spot for socializing. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, which makes it easy to strike up a conversation or just enjoy the company of those around you. I’ve met so many great people here, and I always find it easy to relax and be part of the community. The brewery has a way of bringing people together, which is something I truly appreciate.

Hops on the Hill Brewery is more than just a brewery — it’s a spot where the community gathers, where families can unwind, and where there’s always something happening to keep things fun and lively. It’s a place I’m proud to call one of my favorite local spots, and I think you’ll love it too. So, if you're looking for the perfect spot to enjoy the summer in Glastonbury, I highly recommend checking out Hops on the Hill Brewery.
